Punjab govt files blasphemy case against journalist Waqar Satti for sharing video against Imran Khan

Rawalpindi: The Punjab government has lodged a blasphemy case against journalist Waqar Satti for sharing a propaganda video against former prime minister Imran Khan.
The case was registered with Police Station R.A Bazaar on the complaint of Chaudhry Nasir Qayyum.
The complainant said that his sentiments were hurt by Waqar Satti’s tweet which contained a video accusing Imran Khan of insulting Islam.
The police have lodged a case against the Geo News journalist on the charges of blasphemy.
Several journalist on Sunday condemned the Punjab government for booking their colleague in a blasphemy case.

The Punjab is ruled by Chaudhry Pervez Elahi with the support of Imran Khan’s PTI which has majority of seats in the provincial assembly.
