Imran Khan led Pakistan to only Cricket World Cup victory on March 25

LAHORE: Pakistan won their first and only cricket World Cup under Imran Khan and the green-shirts lifted the trophy on March 25.

#Onthisday was top Twitter trend in Pakistan on Monday as the nation celebrated the historic won in 1992 over England.

Led by Imran Khan the Pakistan cricket team defeated England by 22 runs at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Imran Khan led the team to 22-run victory and went on to become Pakistan’s 22nd Prime Minister 22 years after establishing his political party The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

The Pakistan Cricket Board also tweeted a couple of pictures from the historic day to celebrate the victory.
