Maddy Cusack, a midfielder for the Sheffield United women’s team, has died at the age of 27, the club said Thursday.

Although the team didn’t disclose any details about Cusack’s demise, internet is flooded with speculations about cause of her death.
Anti-vaxxer lot claimed that Maddy died of an illness caused by the COVID-19 vaccine.
They claimed that Maddy was also sponsored by Randox, a company heavily involved in COVID testing.
The above mentioned lot has blamed almost all the high profile deaths on the vaccines in recent times.
There were also rumours that the footballer might have committed suicide because she was seen playing only a few days ago.
Her family, however, wants to keep the cause of her death a private matter.
Maddy Cusack was named as United’s vice-captain last month and had just started her sixth season with the team in the second-tier Women’s Championship, making her the longest-serving player in the current squad.
“Sheffield United Football Club is devastated to report the sad news of the passing of Maddy Cusack,” the club said. “Maddy, a women’s team player since 2019 and marketing executive for the football club, passed away on Wednesday.”
