Prince Philip mocked by Queen Elizabeth’s grandmother in ‘The Crown’

While a lot of people have enjoyed watching “The Crown”, a Netflix series about Queen Elizabeth, others have criticized it for portrayal of certain characters of the British royal family.

In the shows episode “Act of God”, Queen Elizabeth’s grandmother is seen mocking Prince Philip when the young monarch mentions his sacrifices.

In the above mentioned scene, the Queen shares with her grandmother that her husband wants to fly a plane and she has asked Prime Minister Winston Churchill to seek an approval from his cabinet in this regard.

A UK minister recently asked Netflix to flag up the show as a work of fiction, a request the streaming giant dismissed.
