Umer Sharif wants PM Imran to send him to US for treatment

Comedy legend Umer Sharif has requested Prime Minister Imran Khan to send him abroad for medical treatment as his condition continues to deteriorate.

TV anchor Waseem Badami said he met Sharif at a private hospital where the actor and comedian had been admitted in a critical condition.

Badami said that according to doctors the patient only has two to three weeks time to under go a medical procedure which could not be performed in Pakistan.

He said that the doctors think Sharif’s life would be in danger if he was not sent abroad for treatment within the stipulated time.

Sharif’s family told Badami that the medical procedure could be performed in Germany, US and Saudi Arabia but they would prefer the US for multiple reasons.

The reason Waseem Badami was called to the hospital was to approach the prime minister as Sharif’s family was unable to travel due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Badami said Umar Sharif praised PM Imran Khan and remembered working with him for Shaukat Khanum hospital.
