New 75 Rupees note to be issued to mark Pakistan’s Platinum Jubilee

Karachi: The State Bank of Pakistan plans to issue a new note of Rs75 denomination to make the Platinum Jubilee celebrations of Pakistan’s Independence this year.

The nation will celebrate Pakistan’s 75th Independence Day on 14 August, 2022.

The bank, however, said that the note design being circulated on social media is fake.

The Rs75 note will be a commemorative note and will not be in use permanently as opposed to rumors doing the rounds.

The State Bank of Pakistan spokesperson Abid Qamar confirmed that the central bank would issue a new note of Rs75.
