Fact-check: Viral video of Altaf Hussain crying was made in February 2022

London: A video of MQM founder Altaf Hussain and his aides crying has surfaced online, leaving thousands of Pakistanis inquiring about it.

The video was shared on Twitter, Facebook and other social media websites multiple times, with people asking why the self-exiled Pakistani politician is crying.

The video was originally made in February 2022 when Altaf Hussain was acquitted by a London court in a terrorism case.

In the video, Hussain’s companions are heard congratulating him on his court victory.
