Quetta Gladiators defeat Islamabad United by three wickets in PSL opening match

Karachi: Azam Khan helped Quetta Gladiators defeat Islamabad United by three wickets in the opening match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) in Karachi.

Azam made 59 off 33 that helped his team chase the total of 169 in 18.3 overs.

Earlier, Islamabad lost early wicket as Colin Munro was caught and bowled by Mohammad Nawaz.

Dawid Malan and Luke Ronchi added 38 runs off 22 balls before Ronchi was caught at backward point after making 23.

Malan scored 64 off 50, hitting five fours and three sixes. Mohammad Hasnain got four and Ben Cutting three wickets. Hasnain was declared “Man of the Match” for his outstanding performance with the ball.
