Imran Khan likely to be arrested after Formation Commanders Conference

Islamabad: Former prime minister Imran Khan can be arrested in the coming days, according to political commentators.

The statement issued by the army’s Formation Commanders Conference clearly said that masterminds of the May 9 violence would not be spared.

With almost all top PTI leaders gone, Imran Khan seems to be the next target of the state in it’s ongoing crackdown against the party.

Speaking to British journalist Piers Morgan, Khan also said he was prepared to be arrested anytime.

Meanwhile, Imran Khan and Shah Mahmood Qureshi’s meeting also failed to convince the PTI chairman to back off.

According to a report, Khan and Chaudhry got engaged in a heated exchange after the former prime minister was advised to distance himself from certain retired army officers.

Qureshi left Zaman Park without talking to the media.
