Budget 2019-20: Govt employees, pensioners get 10% raise

Islamabad: :The government Tuesday announced a 10 percent raise in salaries of government employees in the budget proposals for 2019-2020.

The 10 percent increase has been proposed for government employees from BPS 1 – 16 and five percent increase for those in BPS 17-20. A 10 percent increased has been announced in the pensions of civil and military officials.

Minister of State for Revenue, Hamad Azhar in his budget speech in the National Assembly said there would be no raise of salary for officers in BPS 21-22.
