Eid-ul-Fitr holidays 2019

KARACHI: Some Pakistanis are expected to have a five-day holiday this Eid-ul-Fitar.

Eid marks the end of holy month of Ramadan which is likely to end on June 4 since experts believe the Shawwal Moon (Eid moon) would most likely be sighted in Pakistan on 29 of Ramadan.

Eid-ul-Fitr will fall on June 5 (Wednesday) if the prediction proves to be correct or on June 6 (Thursday) if it proves otherwise.

In both cases the holiday for some workers if not all can be of five days.
Considering the tradition of official Eid holidays, government is likely to announce at least three off days.

The weekly holidays of Saturday and Sunday that would follow the three-day Eid celebrations would stretch holiday to five days.
