Afghan Pashto singer Qamar Gula dies in Canada
Toronto: Afghanistan’s famous Pashto singer Qamar Gula has passed away in Toronto, Canada.
Pakistan’s veteran TV actor Jamal Shah took to Twitter and paid tribute to Qamar Gula.
“Rest in peace Merman Qamar Guli. You epitomized the range, depth and beauty in Pashto music for decades and will be remembered forever,” he wrote.
Qamar Gula is credited to be only the second female Pashto language singer (after Rukhshana) to sing for the Radio Television Afghanistan.
