I love and care so much about the Muslim and Arab site of my family as well as my brothers and sisters through the world. wrote Palestinian model Bella Hadid hours after she was accused of racism.
The hashtag #BellaHadidRacist begann trending on Social media after she posted a “controversial photo” to her Isntagram stories in which she is seen “kicking” aircraft from Saudi Arabia and UAE at an ariport.
Later, she posted a lengthy apology on her Twitter account saying she would never want her posts or platforms to be used against anyone, especially “those of my own beautiful and powerful heritage.
“Not only do I have so much respect from the bottom of my heart, I have always tried to stand up for what I feel is right, especially regarding the great Middle East.
“To feel as I have disappointed you is what hurts me the most.” she wrote.
She also posted a separate post in Arabic in order to reach out to larger audience.
And later, she posted tweet saying it was and innocent mistake on her part.
