Fact-check: Ayesha Akram is not the ‘Bawaji Sialkot’ fame TikToker

TikToker Ayesha made headlines when a shocking video of her being assaulted by hundreds of men surfaced online.

The incident took place on August 14, the Independence Day of the country at the Minar-e-Pakistan.

Police registered a case on Ayesha’s complaint and claimed to have arrested several people seen in the now viral video.

As majority of social media users condemned the incident, hundreds of people indulged in victim blaming after it emerged that Ayesha had invited her fans and followers to the event for the ‘party’.

Days after the incident, some people started claiming that Ayesha is the same TikToker who is famous for her catchphrase ‘Bawaji Sialkot’.

They were seen sharing a video of ‘Bawaji Sialkot’ fame TikToker in which she is seen drinking alcohol.

The video was shared with misleading captions to prove that it features Ayesha who was harassed at the Minar-e-Pakistan.

The claims are false as Ayesha is not TikToker who is known as Bawaji Sialkot.
