Dutch Television presenter Fred van Leer on Saturday reacted to the purported video being circulated with claims that it shows him in an objectionable state.

His name was trending on Twitter, with many fans, who were clueless, started asking about the controversy.

Taking to Instagram, Fred wrote a note while mentioning the the purported sex tape in a cryptic manner.

Below is his message:

“Lovely people,
I am very moved by all the sweet messages and the compassion. It’s horrible what happened. I need time to process it, so I’m offline for some time to come. I am surrounded by lovely people who take good care of me.”

Several Twitter users claimed that Fred van Leer was hospitalized on Sunday afternoon, claims that couldn’t be independently verified.
