The Israeli born actress, who saw her fortune rise with the box office success of Wonder Woman is a mother of two children.

Who is Gal Gadot?

Born in Pateh Tikva, Israel, she was crowned Miss Israel in 2004 when she was just 18-year old.

At the age of 20 she enrolled in Isreal’s army which is called Isreali Defence Forces for two years.

Military service is mandatory in the Jewish state for all men and women over the age of 18.

Vainity Fair magazine reported Gal Gadot served the military during the 2006 Isreal-Hezbollah war.

The Isreali army suffered huge losses at the hands of Lebanese militia during the 34-day conflict on the border between the two countries.

Although she has not spoken much about her army experience, in a 2017 interview the actress revealed the physical training she had to undergo before filming was not nearly as demanding as what she experienced in the Israeli army.
