Karachi: Hamza Ali Abbasi has come out in support of fellow actors Yasir Hussain and Iqra Aziz after the latter came under criticism from some social media users.
Story is that Yasir Hussain proposed to Iqra Aziz during the Lux Style Awards 2019 on Sunday and she said yes!.
The actors then hugged and kissed each other and the video went viral on the Internet with some people criticizing the couple for their public display of affection.
Hamza Ali Abbasi on Monday posted a couple of tweets taking the trolls to task.
“In an era when ppl prefer haraam over halal, how can U find faults in a man asking a woman for nikkah? Bcz he hugged her or kissed her on the cheek? STOP IT! Instead celebrate the good… Heartiest congrats to Yasir & Iqra. May Allah bless u both in ur new journey,” he tweeted.
