Jannat Mirza asks fans to use VPN to watch her TikTok videos

Hours after Pakistan banned TikTok, the country’s most popular TikToker Jannat Mirza asked her fans to use VPN (Virtual Private Network) to get access to the video sharing app.

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) banned the Chinese app a day after Jannat became the first Tiktoker to reach 10 million followers.

Reacting to the news of PTA ban, the teen sensation said she is in Japan where TikTok is working fine.

The social media celebrity said she would keep uploading her videos on TikTok since she can use the app in Japan.

“If you want to watch (my) videos, then use VPN,” she said while expressing the hope that ban would be lifted soon.

Pakistan on Friday banned the wildly popular video sharing app TikTok, as authorities press their clampdown on “immoral” content.

(PTA) on Friday said TikTok had failed to adhere to two warnings, which had demanded it block “immoral, obscene and vulgar” content.

“The application failed to fully comply with the instructions, therefore, directions were issued for blocking of TikTok application in the country”, the PTA said in a statement.
