Mahira Khan, Anwar Maqsood receive backlash for mocking Maryam Nawaz and Marriyum Aurangzeb
Superstar Mahira Khan is receiving backlash for agreeing with Anwar Maqsood’s remarks made about PML-N leaders Maryam Nawaz and Marriyum Aurangzeb.
During an event at Karachi Arts Council, Anwar Maqsood jokingly described the PML-N leaders as the two women who are in habit of spewing venom.
When Maqsood said he was only giving an example by naming the two politicians, Mahira Khan told him that the example he gave was apt.
PML-N’s Senator Afnan Ullah Khan said Mahira Khan has mental problems while Anwad Maqsood is an alcoholic.
He said Mahira Khan keeps buttering Indian actors for money and books could be written on her character.
During the same conversation, when Mahira Khan was asked which political party she supports, the “Raees” actress said she is on Pathaan’s side, an obvious reference to former prime minister Imran Khan.
