Ram Gopal Varma accused of copying controversial cleric’s tweet against PM Imran
Indian filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma launched personal attacks against Prime Minister Imran Khan after the Pakistani leader responded to allegations after Pulwama attack in Kashmir which killed over 40 Indian soldiers.
The Pakistani leader through a TV speech offered Pakistan’s cooperation in investigating the matter.
He denied Pakistan’s involvement in the attack and said his own country has lost thousands of lives in war against terrorists.
The former cricket hero said Kashmir like issues can only be resolved through dialogue, urging New Delhi to engage with Pakistan.
Instead of appreciating Pakistani leader’s gesture, Ram Gopal Varma criticized Khan in a series of tweets and chose to launch personal attacks.
In one of his tweets, The Indian director mocked Pakistani leader argument that issues can be resolved through dialogue instead of appreciating the gesture.
A user found out that the same tweet was posted by a controversial cleric Imam Mohammad Tawhidi hours before Ram Gopal Varma did.
