Shahid Afridi accused of hypocrisy for allowing woman to do his make-up

Former Pakistan cricket captain Shahid Afridi has been accused of hypocrisy after a picture of woman doing his make-up surfaced online.

“This is the same Mr Afridi who in public doesn’t want to shake hand with women,” wrote a Twitter user while referring to an incident which saw the flamboyant cricketer ignoring a woman who tried to shake hand with him during a ceremony.

“Taliban fan boys backstage,” quipped a female user while taking a dig at Afridi, who recently said Taliban have changed following the militants’ take over of Kabul on August 15.

Afridi had received backlash when he said he won’t allow his daughters to play any outdoor sport. Meanwhile, the cricketer is currently on a private visit to the United States and is being praised for his call for immediate action to save the life of comedian Umer Sharif.

He urged Prime Minister Imran Khan to expedite visa process so that Sharif could be shifted to the US where he has talked to doctors who are ready to treat the Pakistani icon.
