‘The Crown’ season 5 featuring Humayun Saeed as Imran Khan’s cousin to premier in November
Netflix has finally announced the premier date of season 5 of hit show ‘The Crown’.
According to the streaming giant, the show which is about the reign of Queen Elizabeth II will return for season 5 on November 9th.
Pakistani actor Humayun Saeed will play the role of British-Pakistani heart surgeon Dr Hasnat Khan in the upcoming season.
Princess Diana had a secret two-year-long relationship with Dr Hasnat and hence it is presumed that their love affair will have some screen time in the upcoming season.
Diana is said to have described Khan as ‘Mr Wonderful’ and in May 1996, she visited his family in Lahore too. Diana’s friends are reported to have described Hasnat as the “love of her life” and to have spoken of her distress when he ended their relationship in June 1997. Dr Hasnat attended Diana’s funeral ceremony as well.
Born in Punjab’s Jhelum, Dr Hasnat belongs to Mohmand Pakhtun tribe.
Dr Hasnat is also a distant cousin of former Pakistan prime minister Imran Khan.
