What does stan mean in Pakistan?

Stan is an overzealous and obsessive fan of a celebrity but some music lovers recently got interested in knowing the meaning of the word ‘stan’ in Pakistan, a country in South Asia.

Story is that it all started when fans of Davido, a Nigerian-American singer started expressing lover for him on social media.

Normally an obsessed fan would say “I Stan Davido” but a large number of fans said they “Stan, restan, and PakiSTAN”, in an effort to show intensity of their admiration for the artist.

The word STAN , with countries like Pakistan ,Afghanistan, Tajikistan,etc means LAND ,,, like Netherland, Deutchland,,, it means land of those areas.. like Afghanistan land of Afghanis etc.
