When Ertugrul’s Halime Sultan condemned Priyanka Chopra over anti-Pakistan tweet

Indian actress Priyanka Chopra faced backlash for celebrating New Delhi’s airstrikes inside Pakistan in February 2019.

Few months after her pro-war tweet, the actress was confronted by a Pakistani-American women over her statement at a public event and Priyanka’s answer further fueled the anger.

Few people know that Turkish actress Esra Bilgic aka Halime Sultan who played a pivotal role popular TV series “Diliris: Ertugrul” (Ertugrul Ghazi), was among those who called out the Indian actress for “encouraging war” and being “disrespectful against a woman” for asking a question about her statement.

Replying to PC on Twitter, Esra wrote “Being patriotic doesn’t mean that you should encourage the war.You shouldn’t belong in a conversation concerning war as a UN goodwill ambassador. You effect many children, many people as a role model. And you were so disrespectful against a woman who just asked you a question about statement that you shared with millions of people in your own Twitter account.”
