Who is Miss Universe Pakistan?

Erica Robin was crowned as Miss Universe Pakistan on Thursday (14 September).

The 24-year-old was picked from among the group of five contestants.

Erica said, “I and honoured and humbled to be the first ever Miss Universe Pakistan and I want to highlight the beauty of Pakistan. We have a beautiful culture that media is not talking about, Pakistani people are very generous, kind and hospitable. On top of that I would like to invite everyone to visit my country and try the most sumptuous cuisines and explode out enchanting nature, our snow-caped mountains, our greeneries and our and our progressive landscape.”

According to the organizers of competition, the winner will then represent Pakistan at the global Miss Universe pageant, to be held in El Salvador this year.

The government of Pakistan has refused to own the pageant. A minister said the government has nothing to do with the competition.
