10,000 Rupee note not being issued

Karachi: The State Bank of Pakistan said it does not plan to issue Rs10,000 currency notes.

The denial came after social media websites were flooded with rumors that the central bank is issuing a new note of Rs10,000 in view of rising inflation.

Pakistan is in the middle of an economic crisis, with thousands of people rendered jobless.
