Aamir Liquat’s tweet insulting Hindu goddess sparks outrage
Islamabad: Hindu minority in Pakistan has demanded Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf MNA Aamir Liquat Hussain apologize over his controversial tweet.
In one of his recent tweets, the controversial TV anchor had shared an image of a Hindu goddess to attack Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Maryam Nawaz.
In one of her speeches, Maryam had said that Imran Khan and his government would now see her ‘new face’ after the recent by-election in Punjab and Khyber Paktunkhwa.
Taking a dig at Maryam, Aamir Liaquat had shared the picture of the Hindu goddess to insult Nawz Sharif’s daughter.
Thousands of Pakistanis including Hindus, Muslims and Christians have condemned the MNA over his tweet, demanding him to tender an apology.
