AJK’s Dadyal in a daze over Kanwal Matloob’s rape and murder

Mirpur: Kanwal Matloob, a thirteen-year-old girl from Azad Kashmir, was found dead after she was abducted from her hometown of Kathar, Dadyal Tehsil of Mirpur.

According to reports, she had disappeared after she when to get grocery. Her body was found dumped in a garbage disposal site in a forest.

Autopsy report revealed that the the girl was extensively raped and tortured before being strangled to death.

The suspected rapist has been identified as Moeen who fled to Faisalbad after committing the crime.Police are said to have arrested the suspect in a raid.

The people of Dadyal are shocked and there’s anger in the village over the incident, said an activist from the area.
