Al-Jannat Residency portion ordered to be demolished

Karachi An illegal portion of Al-Jannat Royal Residency would be demolished on the orders of the Sindh High Court.

The orders to bulldoze portion came on Monday..

Al- Jannat Residency is a nine-floor building located in the Garden West neighbourhood of the city.

The court took up the case after an applicant challenged the construction of three additional storeys against the approved six-floor design.

It ordered the Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) to immediately stop further construction on the site of Al-Jannat Royal Residency.

The court ordered authorities concerned to implement it’s directions within 45 days and submit a progress report.

The court also directed to take action against the builder and the involved officers of the SBCA and barred utility providers for giving connections of electricity, water and gas.
