Allama Hisham Elahi calls for stoning Mufti Azizur Rehman
Lahore: Renowned cleric Allama Hisham Elahi Zaheer has called for punishing Mufti Azizur Rehman under Sharia laws.
Speaking during the Friday sermon, he said punishment for a men involved in sodomizing other man is either to push him from the mountain top, or death by stoning or to burn him alive.
He said these punishments were given by Hazrat Ali and Hazrat Abu Bakar.
Allama Hisham condemned Mufti Aziz it Rehman for violating the sanctity of a holy place and called on the parents to teach their children about “good touch” and “bad touch”.
The cleric also held government accountable for promoting rape culture for not punishing people who were exposed in earlier incidents.
Meanwhile, police have registered a case against Mufti Aziz and is conducting raids to arrest him.
Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam has also distanced itself from the culprit and demanded the government take action against Mufti Azizur Rehman.
