Allama Mazhar Hussain Najfi arrested

Chiniot: Renowned Shia cleric Mazhar Hussain Najfi has been arrested by police in Chiniot district of Punjab, a day after a purported video of the religious scholar sodomizing a student went viral on the internet.

The cleric was accused of sexually abusing a student of his seminary Imaul Asar located in Tehseel Lalian.

The police said that the incident had taken place in March 2021 and they have arrested Mazhar Hussain Jafri after registering an FIR against him.
