Ayaz Amir arrested in murder case of daughter-in-law

Islamabad: Police have arrested senior journalist Ayaz Amir in the murder case of his daughter-in-law.

Sarah Inam was bludgeoned to death by her husband Shahnawaz Amir, the son of the veteran journalist.

PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry condemned the arrest of the journalist for a murder committed by his son.

Reacting to his arrest, Fawad Chaudhry wrote, “Truly shocking and shameless herkat by a fascist Govt, strongly condemn this attack on independent voices …. We all know he is arrested for expression of his independent views and criminal case is only a decoy.”
