Bilawal Bhutto berates Maryam for calling him selected

Lahore: Pakistan People’s Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has responded to Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s remarks which many thought were an obvious reference to the son of Benazir Bhutto.

Maryam on March 17 tweeted “the one who should be really worried is the Selected bcoz he is being seen as a ‘spent force’ & his substitute is being fostered”.

Her tweet had come after reports of differences between Asif Ali Zardari and other parties of the Pakistan Democratic Alliance (PDM) over the issue of resignations from the National Assembly.

It was understood that Maryam called Prime Minister Imran Khan “Selected” and “his substitute” Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in her tweet.

When Bilawal was asked by the reporters after his meeting with Jamat-e-Islami chief Sirajul Haq to comment on Maryam’s statement, the PPP chairman said he does not belong to the lot which tend to get selected.

Without taking name, he took a dig at Maryam Nawaz, saying any statement coming from the Vice President of a party merits a response from the Vice President of the PPP.
