Cyclone Biparjoy will not hit Karachi
Karachi: Panic gripped Karachi after Sindh government called for evacuations before cyclone Biparjoy makes landfall.
According to weather experts, the storm in Arabian Sa may bring heavy to moderate rains to Karachi but is not expected to hit the city.
By ordering evacuations from coastal areas, the government is only taking precautionary measures in case of any emergency.
Private forecaster Pakweather.com said the highest probability as of now is that Cyclone Biparjoy will hit Keti Bandar and adjoining Kutch areas before it affects south east Sindh, pouring heavy downpours in its path.
Heavy rains with winds and storm surge will also occur in Karachi, Hyderabad and lower Sindh between Wednesday and Saturday.
