Cynthia Ritchie joins PTV
Islamabad: The Pakistan Television’s official Twitter account deleted a tweet that announced hiring of controversial US blogger Cynthia Ritchie on Monday.
PTV’s Twitter statement said, “Write and filmmaker Cynthia Ritchie has joined the Pakistan Television Network and will be conducting a programme on PTV-World in the near future.”
The announcement was mocked by many people on social media for different reasosn but most of them were skeptical of the woman who last year accused former interior minister Rehman Malik of raping her. She also levelled serious allegations of harassment against former prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani and other politicians belonging to the Pakistan People’s Party.
Earlier this month, she was shifted to hospital after she was found unconscious at her residence in Islamabad.
