DG ISI Nadeem Anjum’s rare pictures from Afghanistan released to the media
Kabul: Rare pictures of Director General Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Lt.General Nadeem Anjum from Kabul became topic of discussion online on Wednesday.
The ISI honcho, who has stopped the army and the government from releasing his pictures from his official meetings, landed in Kabul along with Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif.
In the pictures doing the rounds on social media, Anjum is seen meeting the Taliban leaders.
Social media users are speculating about his rare appearance and the purpose of his visit to Afghanistan.
The ISI chief was last seen on the TV screens when he held a press conference against former prime minister Imran Khan last year.
Main stream media in Kabul and Islamabad reported that the pair’s visit is aimed at discussing the latest wave of terrorism in Pakistan.
The Pakistani government and the military want the Taliban to use their influence to prevent the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) from carrying out their activities in Pakistan.
