DSP Iqbal Mohmand, a Pahsto poet, among four policemen killed in Taliban attack in Lakki Marwat
Peshawar: The Taliban claimed the responsibility for the IED blast that killed four policemen on Wednesday.
The police said DSP Iqbal Mohmand along with three police constables were killed in an IED blast on a police van in Khyber Paktunkhwa’s Lakki Marwat district.
Iqbal was leading the reinforcement heading to reach Sadar police station that was already attacked by militants.
Journalist Ali Arqam said that DSP Iqbal Mohmand was also a renowned Pashto language poet.
He said hundreds of people took to social media to pay tribute to the officer.
