DW journalist Melissa Chan says she didn’t receive threats from Imran Khan’s supporters

Islamabad: Deutsche Welle (DW) journalist Melissa Chan has dismissed the reports that she received death and rape threats from Imran Khan’s supporters after interviewing the former Pakistani prime minister.

In a Twitter statement on Saturday, she said ,”To be very clear: Limiting replies had nothing to do with my interview with Imran Khan. This is how I always use Twitter, and I was simply explaining why to people confused they couldn’t comment. Anyone saying otherwise is wrong.”

The Germany-based journalist was praised by Imran Khan’s critics for asking some “tough questions” during the interview.
