Ex- FIA director Dr Rizwan’s ‘last WhatsApp chat’ shared to spread conspiracy theories after his death

Islamabad: Dr Rizwan, former Director of the Federal Investigation Agency, died of a heart attack on Monday.

Shortly after the news of his death surfaced online, some PTI leaders including Shahbaz Gill started spreading conspiracy theories about his death.

ARY journalist Adeel Raja also jumped on the bandwagon and shared a purported screenshot of Dr Rizwan’s WhatsApp chat with an unknown man.

Raja, the producer of Arshad Sharif’s TV show, implied that the WhatsApp chat of Dr Rizwan was somehow linked to his death.

Umer Cheema, an investigative reporter associated with The News, said that Rizwan was a cancer survivor who was also suffering from depression.

Fawad Chaudhry paid tribute to Rizwan for investigating a case against incumbent Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
