Fact-check: Viral audio does not feature General Bajwa’s voice
Islamabad: A viral audio purporting to feature the voice of General Qamar Javed Bajwa is being circulated online.
The audio is being wrongly attributed to the chief of the Army Staff.
The viral audio originally surfaced online a few months back after the army chief’s alleged meeting with retired army officers.
It could not be confirmed whether the meeting had actually taken place between the army chief and the retired military officers.
The man speaking in the audio is heard sharing what General Bajwa allegedly told the veterans about Imran Khan following his ouster.
Recently, the audio has been edited to give the impression that the man speaking in the audio is General Bajwa.
