Faisal Vawda’s boot gets Kashif Abbasi, ARY’s show banned
Islamabad: The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) on Wednesday banned ARY’s current affair show “Off The Record” for 60 days for allowing a guest to perform “an unethical act”.
The ban comes a day after Federal Minister Faisal Vawda brought a boot to the show in an attempt to humiliate the PPP and the PMLN for supporting a piece of legislation that paved the way for extension in service of the army chief.
The media watch dog also banned anchor person Kashif Abbasi from hosting the show or appearing on any TV channel as an analysts for 60 days.
Citing the reason behind the action against Abbasi, it said the anchor failed to stop Faisal Vawda from indulging in the “unethical act”.
Meanwhile, Vawda told Hamid Mir that Prime Minister Imran Khan was not happy with and asked him to exercise caution in the future.
