FIA arrests man for harassing female neighbor in Karachi
FIA said the suspect used to force the woman to talk to him via video call for eight to ten hours a day.
Karachi: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested a man accused of blackmailing and harassing his female neighbor.
Faizullah Korijo, Additional Director of the agency’s Cyber Crime Circle, said that the man was taken into custody after the woman lodged a complaint against him.
The official said the suspect, a government employee, used to force the woman to talk to him via video call for eight to ten hours a day.
Upon refusal he would threaten to send explicit photos of the woman to her family members.
According to the FIA, the husband of the woman is employed outside the country.
The suspect sent an explicit photo of the woman to her son after she refused to accept his demands.
The woman approached the FIA which arrested the man within two days and seized his mobile phones and a laptop.
The suspect is said to have confessed to his crime.
The agency has recovered an objectionable photo of the woman from the possession of man,
The agency has also found objectionable material on the Facebook page of the suspect.
It was not immediately as to how suspect acquired the objectionable photo of of the woman whom he has been harassing.
