FIR registered against Maulana in Waziristan for announcing Eid on 12 May 2021

Peshawar: Police have lodged an FIR against a cleric for announcing Eid in North Waziristan on Wednesday (12 May) under Ihteram Ramzan Ordinance and 16 MPO.

Several others people who had claimed to have sighted the Eid moon have also been nominated in the FIR.

Earlier, MNA Mohsin Dawar had shared a list of the witnesses who had sighted the Eid moon.

The announcement of Eid was made by Central Ruet E Hilal Commitee Waziristan in Haider Khel area of the tribal region bordering Afghanistan.
