First pictures of Mullah Omar’s son Mullah Yaqub released

Kabul: The Taliban have released the first pictures of Mullah Yaqub, the son of the movement’s founder. The pictures were released after Yaqub was named the Defence Minister of Afghanistan.

The Taliban took over Kabul on August 15, days before the US and its allies evacuated their diplomats, soldiers and Afghans who worked for them during the last two decades,
