Fogg Body Spray, Fair & Lovely, other ads featuring Indian actors banned

Islamabad: Pakistan’s electronic media watchdog has banned broadcasts of advertisments of various products of multinationals either produced in India or carrying Indian actors.

The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority has taken the step in view of the recent escalation in tensions between Pakistan and Indian on Kashmir issue, said a statement.

The ads of products banned by PEMRA are : Detol Soap, Surf Excel Powder, Panteen Shampoo, Head & Shoulders Shampoo, Lifebouy Shampoo, Fogg Body Spray, Sunsil Shampoo, Knor Noodles, Sufi, Fair and Lovely Face Wash and Safeguard Soap.

Other advertisements featuring Indian actors have also been banned in Pakistan under PEMRA orders.
