Four Pakistan Army Major Generals get promotion

RAWALPINDI: The Pakistan Army’s four  Major Generals were promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General on Friday.

Those who got promotions included Major General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Major General Nauman Mahmood, Major General Azhar Abbas and Major General Faiz Hameed.

A lieutenant general is  a three-star general in the Pakistan Army equivalent to a Federal Secretary in the civil service, a vice admiral in the Pakistan Navy and an air marshal in the Pakistan Air Force.
