Gharidah Farooqi, News One condemned for letting guests use innuendos to target Murad Saeed
Islamabad: The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) has taken notice of the controversial remarks made against Federal Minister Murad Saeed during a TV show hosted by Gharidah Farooqi.
The media watch dog has issued a show-casue notice to News One for failing to prevent the objectionable language used by some participants from airing.
According to Gharidah, the transmission of the private broadcaster has been shut down in Pakistan.
Meanwhile, hundreds of people including some senior journalists have condemned the language and innuendoes used about Murad Saeed while discussing the award he received from Prime Minister Imran Khan for his performance.
General (retd) Amjad Shoaib, Mohsin Baig, Iftikhar Ahmed and Tariq Mehmood were the participants of the show titled G for Gharidah.
