Govt asked to arrest Pir Sarhandi for announcing head money on Amar Jaleel

Karachi: A large number of social media users on Saturday demanded Bilawal Bhutto Zardari order Sindh government to take action against Pir Sarhandi for announcing head money of Rs5 million on renowned columnist and author Amar Jaleel.

A video of the cleric also surfaced online which shows him delivering a speech outside the Umar Kot Press Club.

Amar Jaleel been accused of blasphemy over one of his writings which he had read out to thashe audience at the Sindh Literature Festival in 2017.

The demands for action against Amar Jaleel were made after a religious outfit circulated his video on Twitter and other social media websites.
