Has Aafia Siddiqui died in US jail?

Karachi: Dr Aafia Siddiqui’s sister Fauzia Siddiqui on Wednesday said she has received thousands of messages from people asking whether Aafia has died in a US jail where she is imprisoned.

In a vidoe statement, Dr Fauzia said couldn’t deny or confirm the rumors as she had no contact with her sister, adding that people should approach Prime Minister Imran Khan and Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi instead to ask about Aafia’s condition.

She said that the letters sent by Aafia are received by the government which do not dispatch them to her family. Dr Fauzia also shared the contact numbers of the Pakistani foreign minister and embassy officials in the US, asking people to inquire about Aafia’s condition.
