‘Imran Khan’s bail will pave way for Nawaz Sharif’s return’

Islamabad: The protective bail granted to former prime minister Imran Khan would pave the way for the return of his political nemesis Nawaz Sharif, said Najam Sethi on Monday.

Speaking on his TV talkshow, the veteran journalist said that Sharif would make sure that he is not arrested upon his arrival.

Najam Sethi said that the PTI won’t be able to create any problems for the government if the decision it taken to arrest the party chairman.

Sethi said that PPP leader Asif Ali Zardari opposed the government’s decision to arrest Khan but he would give in if certain quarters insist to arrest Khan.

Meanwhile, senior journalist Azaz Syed also confirmed that Zardari was not in favor of arresting Imran Khan.

He, however, added that the government can still arrest the former prime minister.

Syed also said that by end of September Imran Khan will get trapped in legal issues due to the cases registered against him.
